When Business Becomes Ministry: Why Supporting VitaJug Smoothies Is Bigger Than Just a Donation

In the heart of Milwaukee, nestled between the daily hustle of life and the longing for something deeper, stands a business unlike any other—VitaJug Smoothies & Wellness. But to call it just a smoothie shop would be missing the mark completely. This isn’t just about fruit and blenders. This is about faith, healing, purpose, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ being shared in everyday moments—with every sip, every smile, and every soul that walks through the door.

A Mission Rooted in the Kingdom

Founded by Stephanie Castillo, a woman who knows what it’s like to battle depression, escape toxic cycles, and be radically transformed by the power of God, VitaJug was born out of her personal encounter with Jesus. Stephanie once tried to mask her pain through partying, alcohol, and weed. But God met her where she was—lost and broken—and brought her into a new life of healing, health, and wholeness.

Today, VitaJug Smoothies & Wellness exists to nourish the body while feeding the soul. Their mission? To help people prioritize mind, body, and spirit, encouraging a lifestyle of health, holiness, and community through practical tools—like nutritious food and fitness—and powerful truths—like prayer, scripture, and discipleship.

"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you...?"— 1 Corinthians 6:19

Not Just a Business—A Beacon

VitaJug is a beacon in Milwaukee—a city that, like many others, is hurting. Families are struggling with food insecurity. Youth are seeking identity and purpose. Adults are battling silent mental and spiritual battles with no one to turn to. VitaJug steps into that gap with practical help and Gospel-centered hope.

From free Bible studies and worship fitness events, to faith-based community merchandise, meal support, planting bibles into the community, and even a program to send scripture-filled stickers across the nation—every aspect of this business is intentionally designed to draw people closer to God. They also sponsor a child in Uganda, help families with food, and equip believers to share their faith boldly.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”— Matthew 5:16

The Vision: A Haven in the City

Right now, VitaJug is preparing for its next major mission: opening a brick-and-mortar location in Milwaukee. This won’t just be a storefront. It will be a haven—a refuge where people can come to be restored physically, emotionally, and spiritually. A place where someone can walk in for a smoothie and leave with hope, prayer, truth, and even a deeper relationship with Jesus.

A space where believers gather, communities are served, and Kingdom culture is boldly lived out. But to make this dream a reality, they need help.

How You Can Be Part of the Vision

VitaJug is currently raising funds through their GoFundMe campaign to help cover:

  • Equipment like commercial blenders and juicers

  • Packaging and Bible verse materials

  • Rent and buildout costs for the future storefront

  • Supplies for Bible studies, worship fitness classes, and evangelism outreach

  • Continued support for community initiatives and Gospel-centered programs

They’ve already raised $456, and with your help, they can take the next big step toward creating a safe space that glorifies God in every way.

"Write the vision and make it plain... though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come."— Habakkuk 2:2-3
